Biography

Melville Rodrigues


Melville has 20 years plus experience as a City of London law firm partner. His practice has focused on the launch and operation of investment funds in the UK and elsewhere as well as advising on UK real estate transactions.  His clients have included UK and international pension schemes and other institutional investors as well as fund administrators and other service providers to the real estate sector.


He has an active role in UK and European real estate industry associations, representing them on legal, regulatory and tax matters. Current projects include

(i) Melville being the chief architect and lead advocate of the UK RIF and

(ii) campaigns with a levelling-up agenda to attract institutional capital. 


Melville throughout his career has been - and continues to be -  an enthusiastic supporter of  industry thought-leadership as well as sustainability initiatives. He combines with honorary roles for think tanks and social impact non-for-profit organisations.
